When it comes to handicapping the NBA there has always been this stigma that the league is “impossible” to consistently beat. Like any league, I think it’s extremely difficult to analyze the league on a night-to-night basis. Who is playing? What kind of a situation is a team in? Is it the third game in four nights? Fifth game in seven? Have they had two days off in a party city like Atlanta? As my co-host on VSiN, Matt Youmans, told me: “NBA stands for Nothing But Aggravation”
However, I don’t think that’s true. I think there are a ton of great opportunities in betting the NBA on a nightly basis during the regular season. Let me be clear: I am not here to say that if you follow my insights you’re going to hit over 60% on your NBA plays from here on out. I am here to say that you shouldn’t punt on betting the league because it is “impossible”. It is a massively fun league with the greatest athletes on the planet, and we can make some money on it from time to time.
